About x99design
At x99design, we're passionate about pushing the boundaries of RC adventure through innovative, self-designed and engineered components for scale RC cars and trucks.
Specializing in 3D-printed parts (for now), my first project in Autodesk Fusion is a rugged rock bouncer chassis dubbed "Rattlehead".
My RC journey began as a kid in the 80s, tinkering with classics like the Tamiya Hornet, the Clod Buster, a nitro-fueled Cox .049 GTP Nissan, and a 1/24th scale "Tamtech" Lancia LC2.
I've always loved the kits, the build process, the tuning, mods and customization more than driving itself!
After a roughly 35-year hiatus from the hobby, the Axial SCX24 platform brought me back. Next up was a Traxxas Slash 2WD brushless kit (had to go kit so I could assemble it myself!)
These sparked a deep dive into customizations and modifications with me noticing a huge industry compared to my childhood years and major technological advancements in 3D printing and 3D design tools.
Inspiration followed!
My goal is to bring high-performance vehicles and parts that empower fellow hobbyists to build, modify, and conquer any terrain - and just have fun!
